Living life in the small small world

Living life in the small small world
Stolling along the sun kissed beach, kicking pebbles as I walk in this small yet cosy world of my own, shut out from the harsh reality of the outside world; I live my life in this small enclosed world.

Metro-SIF-PJC day 2

Had to compromise today's training for this (good cause) which is very much worth it! Its charity for the needy children in Cambodia, after all. What we did today was pretty much the same as yesterday, just that we saw fewer people. Fewer people, less job, less donations.

Well, having less to do doesn't usually equate to more rest time. Haha, for no ryhm or reason, we had more trouble getting the job done than yesterday when we saw more donors. And the problem was that we had more people mending the booth today! Some of us (this does not include me) felt that someone in our group was a jinx and that person is DEFINATELY NOT me. This I can assure you. hahha.

This was what happened:
First, one of our cameras (we were given only two) broke down - maybe it has decided to take a break? I mean, who couldn't use a good relaxing break? "especially when we dun see much donors visiting our stall".

Disclaimer: The above-stated quotation is not in anyway fabricated by this writer. This writer shan't be held responsible for any disagreements with the above-mentioned quotation. (In short, let's not blame the "camera" for being a little loose with its words, yea?)

Second, we started loosing our memory cards. One's damaged, the other got corrupted and one of the remaining two went missing. So we had to make do with one camera, one memory card, a crowd. Great!

Next, our printer went out of printing paper. and this brings us to the fourth problem.

Fourth, our ink roller (something along that line. Its an "ink jet" for photo printing except the mechanism that functions this "ink jet" is similar to that of our correction tape) went hay-wire and it can't get it fixed somehow. After much desperate tryings, we made things worse. the film connecting the ends of the ink roller (I really don't know the technical name for this, so it shall be named as such, for now at least) snapped.

I think one thing just led on to the other and eventually, we'd got donors waiting for their photos and the worse was most of them are tourists! Actually, we only have four waiting larh. But only one of them is local. So, we decided to call for help.

Sixth problem. Help didn't come. haha.

We decided to close shop after much consideration cuz we waited for 'bout an hour and made many calls during the wait but to no avil. So, packing up was the best solution, I guess.

I almost walked in the rain again but kind hearted An Qi sheltered me with her umbrella until I reached my bus-stop (haha, thanks so much!)

Actually, It wasn't a bad day, just a day filled with little mishaps. At least the donations did not stop coming. haha. This is my consolation, I guess; our consolation.

Make up training waiting for mua tomorrow! till then!
