New Record Low For Class Attendance
reported by Kenny the Rabbit Friday, November 17, 2006
In an amazing show of class unity today, an overwhelming majority of the class ponned chem. tutorial today. A record no. of 4 ppl attended (in order of appearance: Joel, Kun Tat, Deya, Elson). The original plan by the foursome to pon the lesson at 10.45 (the lesson was supposed to start at 10.30) was thwarted by the dramatic arrival of Mrs Jasima at 10.44. During the duration of the lesson (about 30 min), Mrs Jasima went through the answers for Q5 & Q6 of the tutorial of Carbonyl Compounds. She also revealed that Ms Sarizah might follow the class up next year.Very good lor, pang seh us…

Friendships come and Friendships go
Like wave upon the sandLike day and night
Like birds in flight
Like snowflakes when they land
But you and I are something else
Our friendship's here to stay
Like weeds and rocks and dirty socks
A friend is a personto cry and laugh with,
An inspiration
Someone who lends a helping hand,
though friends may not be forever,
And they may not end up together,
The memories of a true friendship will
last forever.
A friend is not a shadow nor a servant
But someone who holda piece of a person in his heart.
Someone who shares a smile,
Someone who brightens up your day
What makes a person a friend?
Is by saying your Love will stay.
Like wave upon the sandLike day and night
Like birds in flight
Like snowflakes when they land
But you and I are something else
Our friendship's here to stay
Like weeds and rocks and dirty socks
A friend is a personto cry and laugh with,

Renee Donna Bufete
The days we spent together -- yesterday, last week, last month, last year -- have indeed become a part of history, but they too have become part of our memories. Whenever we recollect those two years of our lives, we recall the funs, the anxieties, the common grudge we share against some people (ahem!). The poem Ting Ting posted on our class blog is finely written by Renee Donna Bufete, but if I may, I would wish to change the word friendship (in the first line of the first stanza) to people - for it is the people who come and go but the friendship forged among friends would see friends through thick and thin. And even as we part our paths to different worlds, a coincidental meeting would still bring back fond memories of the times we have had together. This is the virtue of friendship.
The GREATEST lesson History has taught me, or rather, what I manage to learn, since I was always in trance mode during lessons, was to appreciate the past. Our class tag '06s14' would be ripped off the classroom door just like our class decor had been. Our presence in the school is all but a past, a part of PJC's proud history. And, the laughters, the grunts, the shuffling of feet and the dragging of tables will live, not in history, but in our memory. I might not have come from the BEST school in Singapore (lets face it larh, huh. For now, at least. Next time, PJC will be tops!), neither have I been from the Best class in PJC, but I have no regrets, at all.
And You'd be sure, my friends, I'll never say 'get out of my uncaring elite face' (do i have to pay legal fees for this trademarked phrase?) when we shall once meet again. Its not a good bye, but a see ya!
